This is a wonderful right-brain experience of the neuroanatomist Jill Taylor while she had a stroke. During the stroke she became an observer of what is like to have a stroke and shares her insights in this video. You can read the transcript of the video and you can also watch an interview with her on Oprah’s Soul Series Webcast on May 12.
Jill Taylor: My stroke of insight
After the stroke her mind had gone completely into absolute silence for several weeks until the blood was removed from her brain cells. She had lost her language and had to learn again words, to speak and read. She had needed 8 years to recover from the stroke.
It is also worth mentioning that she has validated an experience that other people have had. Enjoy it :)
